On Sunday, June 10, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is activating 3.6 miles of Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road for Atlanta Streets Alive - Westside, connecting Atlanta's Downtown attractions to the bustling Westside and up to Underwood Hills. From 4:00 to 8:00 pm, the street will be closed to cars and open for people to walk, roll, bike and play!
The fun kicks off Downtown, at the intersection of Marietta Street and Peachtree Street where you can join in the official opening of the street followed by a parade of the route. Parade lineup is at 3:30 pm for a 4:00 pm launch. FREE bike decorations available while supplies last!
After the opening program and kickoff parade Downtown, make your way through nine neighborhoods visiting Activity Partners and Route Hosts along the route for a wealth of interactive experiences hosted by community organizations, local businesses and our sponsors. You can also enter or exit the route at any cross street at any time during the four-hour activation.
Atlanta Streets Alive is FREE and fun for all ages. Bring your friends and family, and share in the experience of enjoying our city streets as public space!
