Bike Angel - Peachtree

Bike Angels are our eyes and ears along the route. They are assigned a portion of the route and assist participants and Activity Partners with any needs and report any issues that may arise to Atlanta Streets Alive staff. Duties may include the following:

  • Helping with set-up and/or breakdown, including posting/removing signage along the route
  • Providing directions or answering participants questions
  • Assisting with complimentary bike valet and/or bike rental service
  • Assisting participants with basic bike repairs (flats, seat adjustments)
  • Encouraging participants to cross intersections along the route safely
  • Making sure Activity Partners are following rules and in their assigned area
  • Acting as runner for errands for day-of needs
  • Maintaining water stations
  • Communicating any issues along the route to Atlanta Streets Alive staff

Criteria

  • Minimum Age: 16
  • Mode of mobility: Required; MUST have bike, skateboard, scooter, roller skates/rollerblades or other mode of mobility
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with area cross streets, businesses and Atlanta Streets Alive
  • Orientation: Strongly encouraged; required for Lead Bike Angel role
  • Shifts: Noon - 4:00pm or 3:30 - 7:00pm; event entirety, noon - 7:00pm required for Lead Bike Angel role
